The municipal council is the highest political authority in the municipality. The meetings are open to the public. Citizens registered in Ronneby municipality can ask questions during the "Public question time" or by submitting a "Citizen proposal".

There are several ways for the public to get in contact with politicians or municipal employees. The telephone exhange connects lots of telephone calls every day. Visitors in the city hall will get help from the citizen's service office at main entrance. E-mail can be adressed to a single unit or to a single employee. Most politicians also have an e-mail address.

Sometimes special web forums are activated to discuss a certain issue.
